The main character in the book is Billy Houston who arrives in Santa Monica, California as a fourteen-year-old schoolboy from Australia, the Land Down Under.

Within nine years he’d been expelled from school, had his face rebuilt from a horrific car accident, and been held at gun point in an armed hold up in a LA bar.

Things that happened to me in real life in Melbourne, Australia not America.

Billy hits the bottle and gets mixed up in drugs and drops out of college. He is a lost soul.

But despite his tough beginnings, Billy becomes an incredibly successful multi-millionaire American businessman eventually listing his company on the New York Stock Exchange.

Until his ultimate breakdown.

The story follows the trials and tribulations of Billy Houston and his best mate from Santa Monica High School, Pat Gabriel as together they take on corporate America.

The story line and characters developed in my mind whilst on my daily beach walks over the last 10 months in Noosa, Australia and Koh Samui and Phuket, in Thailand.
